EAT.

Why should the dining world be limited to just nearby restaurants? On Eat Love Give, you will be able to sell and shop for all things food. From small batch brands to experimental bakers, we offer a place for you to discover that your neighbor just a few blocks away makes delicious cupcakes or is hosting a pop-up restaurant in their home. You can also explore our marketplace for personal chef services, kitchen related items, and more from artisans across the country. So sit down, grab a seat and join us in our movement.

LOVE.

Nothing brings people together quite like food and with Eat Love Give we aim to build a community and a place where people can come together and share their love for food. In our eyes, all you need is good friends and good food to have a good time. By selling and shopping through Eat Love Give, you will be connected with others that are seeking out new and exciting eats, while helping out those less fortunate.

GIVE.

At the heart and soul of Eat Love Give is philanthropy. We fully believe that we have a social responsibility to give back to our community, and every month we will be donating a portion of all our proceeds to different charities. You can see a full list of the charities we will be donating to here, and you can always recommend a charity close to your heart that you would like us to work with as well. Our platform also empowers people to start a business from the comfort of their own home. Everyone from culinary artists and experimental bakers to artisans and apprentices are able to sell their goods and services on Eat Love Give, creating a community of like-minded individuals who share a love for all things food; because at the end of the day, food unites people in a powerful way, and nothing is more powerful than eating well, loving more and giving back to the community around you.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Eat Love Give was founded by entrepreneur and frequent traveler Nelson Nunes.  A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona in 2005 with degrees in International Business and Marketing, Nelson was able to travel  to various countries around the world such as France, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, China, Italy, Sweden and more as part of his first business venture.

During his travels, Nelson had the opportunity to indulge in some of best food the world has to offer, from highly accredited restaurants, to night markets and everything in between. Despite this though, his most vivid memories came from when he was seated at a table, amongst family and friends, drinking and chatting the night away amidst home cooked meals. It was from these experiences that the seed for Eat Love Give was planted.

The idea would not fully come to fruition until one day when Nelson returned home to the Los Angeles area from a recent trip.  While driving to his office every day, he would pass by what is known as Skid Row, a densely populated area of Los Angeles where one of the largest populations of homeless people in the United States reside and struggle to survive each day.  From viewing this everyday, Nelson thought to a quote by historical activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who said, “Every man must decide whether to walk in the light of creative altruism or the darkness of destructive selfishness. This is the judgement. Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?”  This was the impetus to creating Eat Love Give, a marketplace not just about food, not just about empowering people to change their lives, but ultimately a platform or starting point for people to give back to those less fortunate.

To this end, Eat Love Give will serve as a company with a deep philanthropic belief that it is not just necessary to give back, but mandatory. A marketplace not just about food, but a platform or starting point for people to give back to those less fortunate. Nelson hopes that Eat Love Give will empower people to change their lives, and he will start the movement by donating a portion of Eat Love Give’s proceeds every month to different charities that align with the goal of giving back and making this world a better place. Today, the platform offers culinary artists and experimental bakers, artisans and apprentices, food lovers and the like a place to come together over their shared love of food. Nelson’s ultimate goal is that this website will be a place that will inspire change in everyone, as we seek to better the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
